Spell & The Gypsy Collective’s ethos has always been in effort to minimise harm to the planet in their actions.

Their vision, as stated on their website says:

“To achieve this, we have begun measuring our impact in the areas of Supply Chain transparency, Sustainable Fibres, Environmental Footprint, Social Advocacy, Circularity and Giving Back – we are using this data to drive continuous improvement and refine the way we do things across our whole operations.”

In a Facebook post, Spell also stated that the launch was planned for over twelve months but was brought forwards to raise funds for those in need of immediate help. The post states:

“The reason I bring this up is because never before have we been so aware of the impact of our environmental footprint – never before have emissions and resources been SO front of mind. In this instance we have chosen specific fabrications with the least environmental footprint. And as a business we are committed to measuring and reducing our own carbon footprint, which is one reason we choose to, under normal circumstances, continue doing small, limited edition runs of our collections. Please cherish these pieces, wear them over and over and keep them in rotation however that may look! xx biggest ❤️ and thanks xx Lizzy and Spelly.”
