Spend a day in the Hills and celebrate FRED Eatery’s new classics menu

“FRED’s approach is to provide fresh, vibrant flavour driven comfort food utilising locally sourced produce in a welcoming contemporary setting.” says owner Aaron Bond.

With the onset of Autumn and the end of most COVID-19 restrictions (for now at least), FRED is celebrating with a FRED classics menu.

FRED Eatery is a friendly, fun environment to enjoy flavour driven comfort food, Adelaide Hills wines and house blend coffee.

“FRED’s approach is to provide fresh, vibrant flavour driven comfort food utilising locally sourced produce in a welcoming contemporary setting.” says owner Aaron Bond.

The changing colours of Autumn make this the perfect time to visit the Adelaide Hills and FRED is the prime destination for breakfast, brunch or lunch.

Breakfast “classics” include A Little of A Lot (your choice of poached or fried free range eggs, bacon, mushrooms, greens, chipolatas, chutney and ciabatta sourdough), The Threesome (granola, banana bread and miso caramel, rhubarb, ricotta and yoghurt) and Indian Eggs (lightly spiced scrambled eggs with roti, roasted cumin yoghurt and green tomato and eggplant relish).

All Day Brunch “classics” include Malaysian Bang Bang (barbecued red chicken satays with a lime leaf risotto cake, coconut and peanut dressing, mint and coriander coleslaw and a fried egg), Mushrooms on Toast and Happiness in a Bowl (barbecued pork belly with kimchi, chilli caramel, shallot omelette with peanut and mint salad).

And it wouldn’t be lunch at FRED’s without Sticky Black Chicken (yellow Thai curry dressing, coconut and lime leaf rice, Asian greens, pickled carrot, peanuts and nahm jim) Hot & Sour Noodle Broth, Cloud Gnocchi (pictured) or The Reuben by FRED!.

You can even shop next door at FRED’s designer homewares, life and style store – FRED Living!

Located in Aldgate Village in the Adelaide Hills, FRED’s is the perfect eating house for the local community, passers-by and destination diners.

Combine a drive through the Hills, a winery stop or 2 and a walk around the Mount Lofty Botanic Gardens with a visit to FRED’s for the ultimate day out.
