Spend Your Winter Exploring The Suburb’s Great Food And Wine

Revisit this suburban winter hideaway complete with fireplaces, great wine, food and live music.

It’s a known fact that Adelaide sinks into hibernation during the cooler months. It’s almost like oncer winter sets in, our social lives are on pause until September. But not on our watch. Not this year guys. Coming off the back of one of the best years we’ve had with the Adelaide Fringe, WOMADelaide, Tasting Australia – Mad March in general – we’ve got to keep the momentum going. We’re on a mission to show you all the amazing, cool things you can do, eat, drink and see around the city until spring. Starting with finding Adelaide’s best warm hearty meals and cosy fireplaces to curl up around.

First stop, The Mile End.

The Mile End have stepped up to the palate and added new shared-style selections to their menu which are nothing short of good ‘ol comfort foods. You’ll find things like 600g Pork Belly, Salt Bush Lamb Shoulder, 700g MSA Angus Brisket and Baked Eggplant and Sweet Potato Parmigiana. These are all served with petitie potatoes, dutch carrots, broccolini, pumpkin, house slaw and stone baked bread… mmm carbs.

They’ve also got open fireplaces which are begging for attention and live music weekly.

You can see now how this is an easy choice for dinner plans with friends can’t you? Fireplace. Good food. Red wine. Great atmosphere.

Sure it might take a bit of getting used to having an actual life throughout winter but it’s not impossible. So ditch the couch and Netflix every now and then and stay tuned.

The Mile End also plays host to functions and events . For further information on the hotel, visit www.mileendhotel.com.au
