Spice Up Your Life and see the ‘Wannabe: The Live Stage Show’

It’s time to Spice Up Your Life and relive the 90s because Wannabe: The Live Stage Show is coming to Adelaide on 28 August.

It’s time to Spice Up Your Life and relive the 90s because Wannabe: The Live Stage Show is coming to Adelaide on 28 August.

After opening in 2017 to rave reviews, Wannabe has toured the UK, Europe and has even headlined the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

It was unfortunately postponed in Australia last year due to COVID, but luckily for us that means it’s still to come.

According to Theatre Weekly, the show is definitely worth the wait calling the live stage show, “a vibrant showstopper”.  It’s safe to say we cannot wait to experience all the Girl Power magic.

Having played to over 10,000 Spice Girls fans so far, Wannabe is now the longest running Spice Girls tribute stage show in the world.

Inspired by the Spice Girls career, the show features the iconic dance routines, classic costumes from the 90s, unique vocal and musical arrangements, and the expected spectacular visual flair.

Of course, you can expect to hear all the favourite hits including Wannabe, Stop, Say You’ll Be There, Who Do You Think You Are, Viva Forever, Too Much, Goodbye, Holler, 2 Become 1, Mama and Spice Up Your Life.

All fans will know the origin story of the Spice Girls: in 1996 Melanie Brown, Melanie Chisholm, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham launched their debut single ‘Wannabe’ and went on to become the iconic girl band we know today.

The group are now officially the biggest and best-selling girl band of all time, selling 85 million records worldwide and spreading their Girl Power attitude that inspired a generation.

While the actual Spice Girls might not be there, their presence is definitely felt in this vibrant live stage show that will have you up and dancing and reliving all the nostalgic 90s vibes.

All that’s left is to Say You’ll Be There

Wannabe: The Live Stage Show will be at Thebarton Theatre on 28 August 2022 at 8pm.
