Split Enz reunites for an epic Australian tour in 2026

Iconic band Split Enz is reuniting after nearly decades for their Forever Enz Tour, set for May 2026 across Australia.

Get ready for a wave of nostalgia, because one of Australasia’s most iconic bands is reuniting. After nearly 20 years, Split Enz – the group that gave us unforgettable hits like I Got You, I See Red, and Six Months On A Leaky Boat – is returning to the stage for the Forever Enz Tour, set for May 2026.

Announced today by Live Nation, the tour brings together the legendary lineup of Tim Finn, Neil Finn, Eddie Rayner, and Noel Crombie, joined by Matt Eccles on drums and James Milne on bass. It’s a reunion fans have been waiting decades for, and one that promises to celebrate the band’s lasting influence across generations.

Formed in New Zealand in 1972 before relocating to Australia in 1975, Split Enz quickly carved out their place in music history with their eccentric style, theatrical performances, and a catalogue of songs that defined an era. From new wave to art rock, their sound became a hallmark of the late ’70s and early ’80s, resonating with audiences on both sides of the Tasman.

Their 1980 album True Colours became a defining moment, selling over 350,000 copies and earning 5× platinum status in Australia. The record’s lead single, I Got You, remains one of the most recognisable anthems in Australasian music history. It’s no wonder they were inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 2005 – a recognition of their groundbreaking artistry and enduring appeal.

The reunion comes as Split Enz marks the 50th anniversary of their debut album Mental Notes. To celebrate, their entire catalogue is being reissued through the Enzyclopedia re-release series, with the first instalment dropping globally on November 14 via Chrysalis Records and Warner Music in Australia and New Zealand.

The Forever Enz Tour will open at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Wednesday 13 May, before heading to Sydney’s ICC Theatre (18 May), Perth’s RAC Arena (22 May), and wrapping up at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre on Monday 25 May. The band will also appear at Bluesfest 2026, giving fans another chance to experience the magic live.

Presales kick off Wednesday 12 November at 11am, with general tickets on sale Monday 17 November at 12pm. Mastercard, artist, and Live Nation members will have exclusive early access windows, so fans are encouraged to register early at livenation.com.au to secure their spot.

After decades of influence, Split Enz’s legacy continues to inspire – and now, their music will once again echo through arenas around Australia. Don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see the band that changed the sound of a generation, live on stage.
