Ssshhh! Here’s how you can secretly score huge dining discounts with EatClub’s latest innovation

Thanks to EatClub’s latest app update, you can now receive up to 50% off your dining bill in one seamless and discrete transaction.

Over the years, Australian-based hospitality app EatClub has kept our food and drink venues pumping and customers smiling by giving diners access to last-minute deals that help venues fill empty seats.

The enormous popularity of EatClub has come from its relentless pursuit of cutting-edge tech, matched with sublimely good discounts from some of SA’s sleekest social hubs.

EatClub has now cranked up its convenience factor further with the introduction of EatClub Pay (ECPay), which automatically wraps your EatClub discount into your EFTPOS payment, allowing you to tick both boxes in one seamless transaction.

While some of us are proud bargain hunters, others value a little discretion with our discounts. EatClub has both audiences sorted, with an expansive array of offers that, once redeemed, will be automatically linked to your ECPay card. Nobody, including the venue, will know you’ve claimed a discount when you tap and pay.

Pan Koutlakis, EatClub’s CEO explained EatClub Pay further, saying “With EatClub Pay, customers simply tap at the end of their meal and receive up to 50% off without having to present a voucher or let anyone know they are dining with a discount. For the restaurant, they don’t need to introduce new processes or train staff. The technology does the work.”

Stored within your Apple or Google wallet, the ECPay digital card removes fiddly transactions and any awkward discount-claiming moments when you’re paying.  It also relieves the venue’s staff from having to manually apply discounts or spend time checking the validity of a voucher.  All the work’s been done for you and them.

According to Pan, “…it’s so easy and so effective that we are seeing many of Adelaide’s best restaurants and bars jumping onboard.”

Whether you’re craving a hearty meal or looking to unwind with drinks, the range of venues offering exclusive EatClub discounts is constantly growing. It now includes Ambra Spirits Distillery & Cocktail Bar, Oliveti, Dolly Wine Bar, EST Pizzeria, Clever Little Tailor, Paper Tiger, Icarus Wine Bar, Long Play Bistro, Thai Room, Enoteca Cucina, Society Bar, Restaurant and many, many more.

EatClub is engineered to help hospitality venues fill their tables during their quiet times of the day. When you redeem a time-based discount voucher, EatClub lets the venue know your estimated arrival time so you can just walk in, take your seat, and order.

This is one of those moments in technology that seems so obvious yet was never considered until a pioneering bunch like Pan and his EatClub team presented it. They’re getting pretty good at mastering those head-scratching “why didn’t I think of that?” ideas.

EatClub has achieved strong and steady growth, with more venues offering more deals for a growing audience. By 2022, EatClub was one of the fastest-growing restaurant deals apps in the business, with 1.6 million users in Australia and around 250 Adelaide dine-in and takeaway venues.

In 2024, 300,000 Australians now use EatClub every month to access discounts at thousands of venues around the country, and with the release of EC Pay, it’s a sure bet that many more users will be clambering aboard to claim discounts without having to endure the discomfort of declaring it.

Pan shared that “ECPay has been a huge success in Adelaide! By simplifying the discount process, we’re not only transforming the dining experience but also supporting Adelaide’s vibrant food and drink scene partnering with incredible restaurants, pubs and bars in the city – the feedback from them has been very positive so far.”
