We love high tea. It’s sumptuous, delicious, and generally very easy on the eye (and stomach). The folk at Stamford Plaza have taken high tea to the next level with their extensive upcoming Winter range.
First up, we have the new Stamford Belgian Chocolate High Tea experience, set to launch on 16 June. After rigorous taste testing, the team at the Plaza found an esteemed chocolate supplier to head the high tea. That supplier is Veliche Chocolate. The decadent high tea will take place every week on Sunday afternoons in the exquisite Crystal Room (sister hotel, the Stamford Grand, is also running the Chocolate High Tea ALL Winter, as well as holding a special SALA High Tea event with Aboriginal Artist Julianne Nungarrayi).
Stamford Plaza is also holding themed high teas based on childhood classics. The In The Jungle High Tea features an assortment of jungle-themed savory bites and sweets. Think tropical cocktails (mocktails for the kids), traditional finger sandwiches, savory pastries, and dessert. For all the Alice In Wonderland fans out there, the Mad Hatter’s High Tea is the one for you. Expect an array of scrumptious treats and themed cocktails and mocktails. Remember to come dressed in your ‘maddest’ outfit, as the best dressed will be awarded a prize.
Another great option is the Stamford’s Takeaway High Tea. Complete with a convenient portable three-tiered stand, you’ll be on the receiving end of sweet treats perfect for catering purposes, or a picnic in the park with that special someone (your best mate, obviously).
