In celebration of 10 years of nurturing Adelaide performers and honing their talent, Star Academy are hosting a cocktail Gala Ball Party Fundraiser for Kids Helpline, and everyone’s invited!
The night to remember will be held on Saturday 28 August 2021 from 6:30pm to 12:00pm, and will seek to celebrate the notable dance school with a purpose.
Adelady’s own Lauren De Cesare will MC the evening alongside the party band Flaming Sambucas, who will be delivering the tunes to put your skills to work in what we can only imagine will be an epic dance floor experience.
Arrival will see guests a glass of champagne followed by a cocktail style dinner put on by Out in the Paddock, to give you the energy to party all night long.
The best part? All proceeds of the epic night will be donated to the amazing Kids Helpline, raising awareness around mental health, often overlooked, and sadly affecting our youth in today’s society.
The glamourous evening will also see a number of prizes to be won int he fundraising raffle, including a $1,000 giftcard for a shopping spree at any Westfield Shopping Centre in the state.
Alongside this, Star Academy will also have a wine wall with Penfolds Grange at the event, with other epic prices from the likes of Bunnings, Nespresso, Euro Appliances, The Hilton, Haymes Paint, Weber Australia, and RAA just to name a few.
The gala event in aid of Kids Helpline – a cause very close to the hearts of those behind Star Academy – came about when a student approached staff upset, confessing that “Star” is a safe place for them, and is a space they can truly be their authentic self.
From this, the idea was born after considering all the challenges their students – and today’s youth – face. The team at Star Academy brainstormed ways they could support the sector, and aid other kids who might not have the support system in place like this one student did at Star Academy.
The charitable night coincides with not only Star Academy’s 10 year anniversary, but also Kids Helpline’s 30th, making it a perfect partnership.
Dress code for the night is “Glam and Formal” and for ages 12+, with Star Academy still seeking business to participate with full promotional benefits to those who contribute.
Tickets to Star Academy’s 10 Year Gala Ball Party Fundraiser for Kids Helpline are priced at $100 and you can purchase them here.
The gala will be held at Playhouse Lane &, Gilles Arcade Adelaide SA 5000.
