The Salisbury Aquatic Centre has finally set an opening date for Monday 24th June 2024.
It marks a significant milestone for the City of Salisbury, with the centre being touted as one of the most notable initiatives undertaken by the Council in recent years.
It will have an array of amenities aimed at catering to diverse recreational needs. Comprising two indoor pools, a health club, a 50-metre outdoor pool, a splash pad, waterplay area, and a triple water slide tower, the Salisbury Aquatic Centre is set to impress.
‘I couldn’t be happier that we are finally able to announce the opening date of the Salisbury Aquatic Centre for Monday 24 June,’ Mayor Gillian Aldridge OAM, says.
‘There will be so much on offer when it opens, like indoor swimming, health club and fitness classes, Learn to Swim programs, and from what I have seen on recent site visits, I know the community will absolutely love it!’
To celebrate, the centre has announced the commencement of its exclusive membership offers.
The first round of memberships, termed Foundation Memberships, offers a compelling package with full access to health club and aquatic facilities at a discounted rate of $16 per week, representing a substantial 20% reduction from the standard pricing.
This offer, limited to the first 200 sign-ups, underscoring the Council’s commitment to fostering community engagement.
Foundation Members will enjoy unlimited access to a plethora of amenities, including group fitness classes, functional training, and more. For those seeking specialised access, alternative membership options tailored to aquatic usage only will also be available. The centre will also cater to the aquatic learning needs of children through comprehensive Learn to Swim programs, with registration now open for interested parties.
The management of the Salisbury Aquatic Centre falls under the purview of BlueFit, a renowned leisure facility management company with a proven track record. With a portfolio spanning over 50 community leisure facilities, BlueFit brings a wealth of experience to the table, having successfully collaborated with various councils, including the City of Salisbury and neighbouring City of Playford.
‘The Salisbury Aquatic Centre will become a true community hub, in which community members feel inspired to engage in a range of health and fitness opportunities. With our Foundation Memberships offering exceptional value for a limited time, now is the perfect time to join,’ BlueFit CEO Todd McHardy, says.
‘We cannot wait to open and deliver accessible and inclusive fitness, wellness, and Learn to Swim opportunities to this growing local community. For our new members, we look forward to meeting you!’
As the Centre nears its completion, progress is evident, with the indoor pools already filled and final touches being applied to the outdoor pool areas, waterplay features, and towering water slides. Practical completion and handover to BlueFit are slated for early May, paving the way for the Centre’s grand opening in June.
