State Opera South Australia has delighted fans, announcing that, due to demand, they will present a second performance of Rodger’s & Hammerstein’s Carousel, A Concert on Saturday 27 March 2021.
Carousel has been the fastest selling show in the company’s history, with tickets for the first show being snapped up in record time. Many people missed out however, so Stuart Maunder, Artistic Director of the State Opera South Australia, and his team, worked with the venue to find another available night.
Then the artists and orchestra were lined up, and luckily it all came together.
Stuart says “I am pleased to say all the stars have aligned.”
“We are delighted that our partners Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Adelaide Festival Centre have been able to work with us to make this happen and look forward to being back on stage at Festival Theatre in March.”
