Eco-tourism accommodation provider Eco Eyre has launched Spindrift – an environmentally friendly Eco Pod located at Port Gibbon.

Opening to guests last winter, Spindrift’s first summer season has been a hit.

The accommodation is situated on a secluded stretch of coast, just steps from the foreshore and approximately 15 minutes or 22km from Cowell on the Eyre Peninsula.

The immersive Eco Pod offers uninterrupted beach views spanning from Lucky Bay in the north right down to Tumby Bay and across to Moonta Bay on clear days.

Inside your little slice of paradise on the Eyre Peninsula, guests will find luxurious studio-style accommodation, fitted with a fully equipped kitchenette, king bed, large TV and WiFi.

Inside the bathroom, guests will discover a romantic deep tub for two with views overlooking the bay.

The architecturally designed eco-pod is perched up above your conveniently located parking spot, to ensure guests have the best vantage point on the coast.

Outside the property is a BBQ and deck chairs for guests to enjoy warm, balmy evenings.

Guests have private access to Port Gibbon beach which is backed by 10m high red bluffs composed of Pleistocene alluvium.

Whilst the beach itself is relatively sheltered and safe for swimming it is also the first surf beach along the western gulf shore, so be sure to bring your board, and keep your eyes out for the occasional rip.

For those looking to go completely off-grid Port Gibbon is known for its Tommies and Yellowfin Whiting which can be caught from the jetty.

For those who don’t snap up the catch of the day the nearest supermarket is located in the bustling town of Cowell which has a 7-day IGA, butcher and 24/7 fuel.

Located only 2.5 hours driving time from Adelaide when catching the ferry from Wallaroo to Lucky Bay this stunning eco-pod is the ideal couples romantic getaway or great for a stop along the way on an Eyre Peninsula escapade.

Spindrift is now available from $159.00 per night.
