One of South Australia’s most beautiful wineries, Glen Ewin Estate, is introducing a new dining concept to warm up the winter months. Throughout July, the Adelaide Hills winery will feature Steak & Shiraz Fridays at its Cellar Door Restaurant.
The Restaurant, perched on top of Glen Ewin’s main building, boasts impressive views of lake, and the rest of the stunning property. Guests can choose from a cosy indoor dining experience or the alfresco area, which caters to all-season comforts amidst the changing weather of the Adelaide Hills. An emphasis is placed on creating a memorable atmosphere where guests can enjoy the estate’s famous fig gin and a selection of wines right within the cellar door experience.
Steak & Shiraz Fridays promise an evening of relaxation and indulgence. With an outdoor wood fire to set the ambiance, diners can enjoy a specially crafted menu by the Executive Chef and his skilled team. The event is laid-back, allowing guests to unwind while delighting in a menu that features options like 18-hour braised beef brisket with a sticky Shiraz glaze and macaroni cheese, grain-fed tenderloin served with Shiraz jus, bearnaise sauce, and fries, as well as a spiced roasted cauliflower dish for those preferring vegan options.
An enticing aspect of the Friday nights in July is the promotional offer where every adult diner receives a complimentary glass of Gatehouse Shiraz upon arrival. Further adding to the appeal, up to three children under 10 eat free with every adult diner. Generous, right?!! Additional children’s meals are available for purchase at $15 each.
Meal choices for the little ones include a kids’ menu of chicken tenders with fries and salad, or penne pasta in homemade tomato sugo with parmesan.
Glen Ewin Estate recommends reservations to secure a spot for Steak & Shiraz Friday nights, but also welcomes walk-ins for those making spontaneous plans. It’s a night to enjoy high-quality meals, picturesque views, and excellent company.
The three main meal options for the July Friday night events range from $30.50 to $39.50. Pre-payment for meals is required upon booking, and the restaurant notes that no refunds will be issued for cancellations.
