Broaden your mind with an online exhibition and it’s all in the name of a great cause.
The NG Art Creative Residency, an organisation based in Southern France that provides artists with a platform to showcase their work is hosting an online exhibition and auction to raise money for those in need.
Starting on June 8, the ‘Choose Art | Give Light to the Refugees’ online event will showcase over 150 emerging and established artists from across the globe.
Partnering up with the not-for-profit initiative, Help Refugees, NG Art’s online exhibition will allow art enthusiasts to silently bid on a range of original artwork with 100% of the proceeds going towards refugees affected by the COVID-19 crisis.
“The threat of COVID-19 breaking out in the overcrowded and unsanitary where work is huge and terrifying,” says Philli Boyle, director and head of partnerships at Help Refugees.
“With our partners on the frontlines, we are doing everything we can to prevent outbreaks whilst also preparing for the worst.”
Founded by London-born contemporary art dealer and director of the NG Art Gallery in Sydney, Nicky Ginsberg, NG Art has been providing artists with mentorship and a platform to showcase their work for more than a decade.
Ira Richter, Anita Taylor, Ian Howard, Sue Bryan and Wendy Sharpe are just some of the internationally-renowned artists taking part in the three-week exhibition, ending June 29.
