Stella’s New Kitchen Team Are Bringing The Delicious To Henley

The beach-side bistro is keeping it fresh with some amazing new talent in their kitchens!

Stella has been a mainstay of Henley Square for about as long as we can remember, but now they’ve injected some youthful creativity into their moreish Mediterranean munches. With an overhauled menu and two new young gun chefs, Stella has reinvented their classic Italian bistro for Adelaidean beach goers!

Heading up the new kitchen is chef Anthoney Bignell-Burge, who has some serious Itailan cuisine credentials, coming to Stella from La Vita Restaurant and an Italian upbringing where he’s been cooking professionally since 16. Sous-chef Ben originally hails from Paris and is bringing the French flair to his passion for desserts, which will be a focus of the new menu’s offerings.
The menu update sees Stella honing their offerings to a shorter yet still generous list of Italian antipasto, primo, secondo, and insalata. the shortening of the menu has paved the way for some amazing weekly specials, and some even more delicious dessert specials!
There’s plenty of bruschetta options, and the arancini offerings change weekly – offering up some speccy starters like the above visions of deliciousness that we’re keen to get our mouths around!
Stella hasn’t bypassed the fact that it’s Italian tradition to have a dessert over a cup of espresso, so you’re pretty much culturally obligated to treat yourself to one of Ben’s unspeakably delicious handcrafted dessert specials. These will be constantly changing, but check out his almond torte with vanilla ice-cream. Freaking. Yum.
Despite shortening their menu, there’s clearly still plenty to choose from at Stella Restaurant, and we’ve barely mentioned weekly specials and dessert specials! So get around their Facebook to keep up to date on the daily and seasonal updates.
