This one is for all you wine lovers and foodies out there.
Popular Hindley Street restaurant Stem has announced a brand new event that sounds like a thing of dreams.
Stem is partnering up with two exceptional, family-owned boutique wineries, Jericho and Wangolina, for a night showcasing fine food and phenomenal wines.
On Thursday May 27, guests will indulge in a delicious four-course menu, inspired by the wines of the night, prepared by the team at the Stem kitchen.
While final details are still being ironed out, we spoke to the team at Stem to see what the night will include and the offerings already sound delightful.
Upon entering, attendees will receive a taste of Wangolina’s Grüner Veltliner. This will be followed by the Jericho Fumé Blanc and WangolinaSauvignon Blanc that will be paired with the first course, which will feature some kind of seafood creation.
The second course will feature Rosés from both wineries, while the third course will showcase Wangolina’s Tempranillo and Jericho’s Grenache, with the final course being a series of wines to be paired with the dessert offerings. Since the details for the complete menu are still in the process of being finalised, please note that this is subject to change.
Attendees will also be able to go in the running to receive a bottle of Jericho’s 24 year old Tawny and a bottle of Wangolina’s Lagrein. This event will truly be a love letter to the fine foods from Stem and the delicious wines of the Limestone Coast, McLaren Vale and Adelaide Hills regions.
For those unfamiliar with Stem, it is a favourite of many Adelaidians. They are known for their delicious share plates, pastas, gnocchi, all made fresh and in house with an authentic Italian flair, as well as their spectacular pizzas, made with Stem’s huge imported oven.
They are also well known for their massive wine collection, which is said to hold over 1000 bottles, making this event with Jericho and Wangolina such a fitting one.
