Stirling Autumn Garden Festival

The Stirling Autumn Garden Festival will this year be held on Sunday, 29 April, and promises to be even bigger with more exhibitors, attractions, free entertainment and expert speakers.

Recently awarded Community Event of the Year* and having tripled in size from 30 to 97 stallholders and 8000 to 25,000 visitors at last year’s event, the Festival is again expected to draw garden, lifestyle and eco enthusiasts.

“It’s an iconic Adelaide Hills Festival that, because of its strong focus on gardens, gardening, outdoor and ‘green living’, is drawing people from all over the state”, Festival Director Marcus Battye said.

Entry is free and will be open to the public from 10am to 4pm.

Strategic road closures open up an exceptional Festival footplate that includes two grassed parks and allows for car parking close by.

The Stirling Autumn Garden Festival includes the following Festival Precincts:

• KidsZone – all day family fun, including iconic scarecrow building

• KnowledgeZone – speakers, information and how-to sessions

• PetsZone – living with pets and pet friendly gardens

• Eco Gardens – sustainability, organics, permaculture and bio-dynamics

• Home Gardens – with plants, bulbs, vegetables and herbs

• Landscape Gardens – garden designers and landscapers

• Alfresco Living – lifestyle, sculpture, pottery and more

• Taste the Hills – food, wine, entertainment and indulgence

The Festival is an initiative of the not-for-profit Stirling Business Association.

* Adelaide Hills Council Australia Day Awards 2012, recognised the Stirling Autumn Garden Festival with a Civic Award for Community Event of the Year.
