A new event is coming to Stirling this winter, bringing a touch of magic to the Adelaide Hills village this July. Presented by the Stirling Business Association, Bright Night is a free evening event that invites locals and visitors to head to the Hills and discover the best of winter in the region.

Taking place on Saturday, July 5th, Bright Night brings together glowing lights, paper lanterns, live performances and special late-night openings from local shops and cafes all in the heart of Stirling.

“Bright Night really started with the idea of celebrating what we already love about winter,” shared Stirling Business Association Chairman Mark Cambridge.

“We refer to the town as ‘four seasons, a thousand reasons’, and we wanted to shine a light on the magic that winter brings. Last year, we ran a Christmas in July event, and it sparked the idea, what if we created something uniquely ‘Stirling’?”

What they came up with was just that, uniquely Stirling. Bright Night will be an evening full of wintry fun. There will be three hubs spread along the main street, each offering a slightly different experience. There’ll be glowing paper lantern installations from the Hills Winter Lantern Festival team, local musicians playing acoustic tunes, and local traders like Hokey Pokey who’ll be serving hot chocolate straight from their service window, Red Cacao, and Miss Emily’s Emporium will be open a bit later to keep the fun going.

Families will love the drop-in craft station, where little ones can create something to remember the night by. There’ll also be face painting to keep the kids entertained.

The team from the Hills Winter Lantern Festival will have some of their lanterns on display too, lighting up the town in a fun and unique way. Plus, the Stirling Hotel will have some special offerings prepared for the event.

“We wanted to give people a reason, a time and a place to come and explore how beautiful Stirling is, while getting the community together.”

Bright Night is the perfect reason to pull out your best coat, grab your crew, and enjoy an evening out in the Hills.
