South Australia loves its street art, so it’s little wonder that an incredible 30m high project in the rural town of Coonalpyn is setting the region abuzz. Five enormous silos in the 200 person town, are currently being transformed into the State’s largest work of art by Guido van Helten. The renowned Brisbane artist spent a week consulting with the community, before deciding on a theme for the artwork – The Young Are Our Future.

Photos are popping up across the net, as travellers, media, locals and even Coonalpyn’s newest silo tourist – Fred Deeks from Mannum, have shared this incredible process with the world. Fred travelled to Coonalpyn after seeing Guido’s work in Melbourne, and is camping out in the town to watch the brilliance unfold.
