Street art is coming back to Longview again for the biggest event at the Crush Festival – the 8th Annual Piece Project!

The concept is pretty simple, 4 street artists battle it out to be featured on the 2017 vintage label of Longview’s ‘The Piece’ Shiraz. This year all 4 artists are from South Australia (and if you’ve cast an eye around the city recently, you know we’ve got some crazy good talent!).

Chill out with a Longview wine while watching J2SKE, Masika, Morris Green and Grots battle it out live creating their masterpieces competing to don the label of The Piece Shiraz before a huge festival crowd of over 1000 people!

Stepping up the entertainment will be world-renowned deejay, Norman Jay MBE – leading an all-star line-up spinning trade-mark soul, funk and jazz fusion. Norman Jay MBE is unquestionably one of most respected and popular DJs in the world today. Influenced by his father’s record collection of blue beat, ska and jazz, by the late 1970s he was considered an emerging authority on contemporary Afro-American music including funk, disco, soul and jazz fusion.

Joining him on the decks is Manchester’s Eric Powell. Mastermind of the annual “Mobile Disco” event, which gives us the opportunity to dip into Powell’s extensive record collection and listen to the music that has influenced him through the decades, everything from Jazz to Funk to Classic House.

Of course, we couldn’t leave the music all up to the Brits, and so SA’s bearded best Ryley Smithson will be joining Eric Powell and Norman Jay MBE to mash up all things music!

Award-winning Longview wine is a given. Add local beer, cider and a food truck feast from La Chiva and The Fat Fork to name a few- what more could you want? Oh, more? Well, every ticket includes a ‘Longview’ Shatter-Proof Wine Tumbler filled with FROSATO – Australia’s best Rosé – FROZEN!! And, get involved in the voting for your favourite art on the day to win fab Longview prizes!

Keep Sunday the 28th January 2018 open, kick off’s at 12pm and dance until dusk hits at 8pm.
