Studio Vino’s new Splat Rooms welcome you make a mess as you paint

Studio Vino are taking their paint and wine experience to a whole new level at their newest venue where you can throw paint at your friends.

Studio Vino are taking their paint and wine experience to a whole new level at their newest venue which includes Splat Rooms.

Adding to their Glenelg, Pirie Street and Holden Hill venues, the team behind Studio Vino are opening a new venue in the CBD which welcomes you to get messy as you paint and wine.

The new studio on Bailey Street features a spectators lounge, bar, three splat zones, private studios and a large canvas art wall, with facilities available for up to 30 participants at a time.

At $80 for one and $140 for a group of three, the Splat Rooms are dedicated zones to throw paint and make a muck with friends. Wear something old or use their optional protective clothing as you cause a little chaos.

While painting canvases, you can create abstract artwork that can be taken home and splat paint at your friends while you’re at it.

Studio Vino owner Jen Halman said it’s the perfect activity for a date night or fun with the crew.

“I’ve owned Studio Vino for six years now and wanted to make it more interactive. I thought Adelaide needed another activity for people to get involved with,” Jen said.

“This experience is going to be different from what we offer at our other venues.

“It’s not an obstacle course – it’s creating art in a messy way.”

Along with the Splat Rooms, the new venue has a Paint Wall space which invites you to paint a huge 1m x 1.5m canvas while spectators watch on. Whether you’re a skilled artist or new to the scene, the Paint Wall turns your art creations into an experience for all to enjoy.

If you’re looking for something a little more remote, there is also the Private Studio to check out. With a lounge space and speaker access, the rooms welcome you and up to five others to use the space as you like.

Immerse yourself into art with body painting, express your inner Picasso as you paint on a canvas, or partake in the traditional paint and sip experience that Studio Vino is well known for the isolated space.

Jen said you don’t need experience at Studio Vino; it’s for all to enjoy.

The new venue is located at 9-11 Bailey Street, Adelaide and opens on Friday October 29.
