The Pink Lake Tiny House has been recognised as the “Best eco-friendly accommodation – South Australia” by the UK-based LUXLife Magazine’s Resorts and Retreats awards.
A champion of sustainability, the Pink Lake Tiny House harnesses solar energy through rooftop panels, storing it in batteries for overnight use. Rainwater is efficiently collected and stored in a 5,000-litre tank, with mains water and power serving as reliable backups.
The property showcases its commitment to the environment with features like odourless bio-composting toilets and a grey water filtration system that nourishes the plant bed. All recyclable waste is responsibly sent back to Adelaide.

Guests have the choice between two distinct accommodations. ‘Sakura’, the original tiny house, boasts a Japanese-themed interior, complete with two loft bedrooms fitted with premium futons. One of these bedrooms even offers a skylight for avid stargazers.
On the other hand, ‘Peony’, the larger counterpart, is adorned with modern Asian décor, featuring a ground-level Queen bed and a loft bedroom. A projector and karaoke setup add to the entertainment options.

Both houses, accommodating up to four guests, offer patio decks with breathtaking views of the ever-changing hues of the pink lake.
Owner operators, Michael and Christina Seeliger say that the lake is a major drawcard for day- trippers from Adelaide, however by not staying overnight, visitors miss seeing stunning sunset and sunrise views of the lake.
“That’s where the idea for the Pink Lake Tiny House originated – to create a place where people could stay and enjoy the magic moments at the lake in the morning and evening, when the range and intensity of the colours leave a lasting impact.”

“Our newly established glamping tents, where guests can simply drive up and it is all there, offer another wonderful accommodation option to the tiny houses.”
“We delight in seeing the wonderful reviews from our guests after their stay” say Michael and Christina.
Adding to the accommodation variety are the newly introduced glamping tents, providing a seamless blend of luxury and nature.
Situated in Lochiel, a short 95-minute drive from Adelaide, the Pink Lake Tiny House is perfectly positioned for excursions to the Clare Valley and Yorke Peninsula.
With rates starting from A$370 per couple per night, guests are also offered exclusive tours of regional highlights.
