Submissions opened for Flickerfest 2017

Now in its 26th year, Australia’s largest short film competition is now accepting entries from Australia and around the world for its 2017 competition.

Celebrating its landmark 26th year, Flickerfest, Australia’s largest short film competition and leading Academy Award accredited and BAFTA recognised short film festival, is now accepting entries from Australia and around the world for its 2017 competition.

Flickerfest will screen for 10 days under the summer stars at Bondi Beach in January 2017 with selected highlights heading off after the festival around Australia to over 50 venues in our national tour.

Flickerfest remains a platform for celebrating the most entertaining and innovative short film making from around the world, judged by a panel of leading industry experts.

Short films in Flickerfest will be eligible for prestigious awards across several categories:

  • International Short Films
  • Australian Short Films
  • Documentary Shorts
  • GreenFlicks – Films with an environmental focus or theme from across the world
  • FlickerUp – National youth competition for high school and primary school students and filmmakers under 18
