With the sun shining and the highly-anticipated Fringe season right on our doorstep, there’s a buzz building in Adelaide.
The Summer Garden Festival is making a return to Modbury this Mad March, bringing with it world-class Fringe performers, gourmet street food, kids’ entertainment and more.
The free community event will be held in the lush landscape of Civic Park this Saturday, March 5, with the vibrant Fringe fun and family-friendly afternoon amongst the gum trees and beautiful natural surrounds.
Settle in for an afternoon of enthralling performances, with over 20 artists taking to the stage across the four-event spaces setting up shop for the day. Marvel at acrobat tricks, spellbinding magic and glittery cabaret mini-acts, alongside side-splitting comedy and kids shows.
Catch Mr Spin’s Bam Wow Amazing show, with the comedic duo making audiences cackle with their slapstick performance. Watch acrobats fly through the air with an adrenalin raising trapeze act or see the Swag Muppets live in action.

Opening the musical stage will be the acclaimed Tilly Tjala Thomas, swooning the crowd with her acoustic tunes. Sprawl out on the lawns and listen to an array of homegrown musical talent before being wooed with an exhilarating fire show to close out the nights’ festivities.
With all that Fringe fun excitement you and your little ones are sure to work up an appetite. Fork on the Road will be bringing some of its most beloved food trucks to satisfy your rumbling belly, bringing a smorgasbord of cuisines to the parklands.
Chow down on Beyond India, spicy Paella, Moorish bites and plant-based delights from Bonnie’s Vegan Van. There’ll be plenty of options for vegetarians, vegans and gluten-free, as well as those harbouring a sweet tooth – which is a win for us!

A licensed bar will also be popping up for the day, so you can quench your summertime thirst at the festival. An espresso martini van will also be making and shaking its enticing caffeinated mix to help you perk up for all the fun ahead.
