SummerSalt festival announces new Victor Harbor date featuring top Aussie artists

SummerSalt Festival has announced exciting additions for 2025, bringing vibrant live performances by leading Australian artists Missy Higgins, John Butler, and more to Victor Harbor.

The SummerSalt Festival has expanded its horizons with the announcement of two additional shows slated for 2025. The popular music event will now grace the picturesque locales of Batemans Bay, NSW, and Victor Harbor, SA, providing festival-goers with the chance to enjoy top-tier Australian music in stunning outdoor settings. It’s the second date slated for South Australia, with Old Mount Gambier Gaol, also set to host a festival date in late March.

Scheduled for Saturday, 15th March at Mackay Park in Batemans Bay and Sunday, 30th March at Kent Reserve in Victor Harbor, these shows promise to deliver the signature blend of sun, scenery, and sound that SummerSalt is famed for. The line-up for these newly added dates boasts some of the biggest names in Australian music, including Missy HigginsJohn ButlerFanning Dempsey National ParkThe WaifsThe Whitlams, and Josh Pyke.

Missy Higgins, who recently celebrated the success of her latest album “The Second Act,” has been a standout figure in the Australian music scene. Her album, marking a poignant phase in her career, topped the ARIA charts, affirming her place in the hearts of Australian music fans. 2024 also saw her induction into the ARIA Hall of Fame, a significant milestone following her extensive national tour.

John Butler, another headline act, continues to captivate audiences both nationally and internationally. His latest album, ‘HOME’, enjoyed immense success, debuting at #1 on the ARIA Charts. Known for his dynamic live performances, Butler remains a formidable talent in the global music scene.

The event also marks a unique collaboration between Bernard Fanning and Paul Dempsey in their project Fanning Dempsey National Park. Their debut album “The Deluge” introduces a new direction with its electronic-infused sound, though echoes of their roots are still perceptible to discerning listeners.

The Waifs and The Whitlams are set to bring their iconic sounds to the stage, each offering decades of hits that resonate across generations of Australian music fans. Josh Pyke, known for his lyrical storytelling and melodic craft, rounds out the lineup, promising performances that blend both nostalgia and new material.

Ticket sales for the new shows start with a pre-sale on Wednesday, 11th December, through Ticketmaster, followed by general public sales on 12th December. Given the high-profile acts and the unique charm of the chosen locales, early booking is recommended to avoid disappointment.
