Superstar Adelaide Chef Joins Team At Treasury 1860

Treasury 1860 is one of Adelaide’s loveliest inner city sanctuaries, with a restaurant, bar and a courtyard full of breezy Birch trees where you can enjoy boutique wines and craft beers, a nice view, and new Chef Nick Filsell’s fresh and modern approach to food.

One reason we love Adelaide here at Glam is because it’s the gift that keeps on giving—just when you think you’ve seen it all, it surprises you all over again.

Treasury 1860 is one of those surprises—if you’re not looking for this inner city sanctuary, it is easy to miss. Nestled in the heart of the city on Flinders St, Treasury 1860 is one of the few restaurant cafes that opens super early for your breakfast and coffee needs before the sun is high in the sky.

They boast a restaurant and bar perfect for lunchtime catch-ups with friends or dinner-time outing with some of South Australia’s finest boutique wines and craft beers. Make sure you step out into the courtyard and let yourself get swept away by the breezy Birch trees and Parisian-like architechture.

Nick is thrilled to be joining the team at Treasury 1860. “With such an incredible location and a building rich in its cultural significance and history, the Treasury is the perfect space to highlight the best of what South Australia has to offer,” he says.

With the colder months apporaching, guests can expect to find a hot pot of mulled wine bubbling away in the bar, giving off an indulgent and comforting aroma of cinnamon and cloves. As the chill of winter rolls in, the team at Treasury 1860 looks forward to launching its Winter Marquee in the courtyard space to provide an ambient, warm and cosy element to their lovely outdoor space.
