This year’s season of Australian Survivor has captivated the nation, with many fans hoping fan-favourite ‘King of the Jungle’ Luke Toki would secure the sole Survivor title.

Last night’s tribal council saw the departure of Toki in a unanimous vote by his fellow players.

Survivor die-hards have since taken to social media to voice their support for the popular contestant, even going as far as to set up multiple GoFundMe pages for Toki and his family.

Previously a contestant in 2017, Toki returned to the show in the hope of winning not only the sole survivor crown, but the $500,000 prize to assist his family.

Toki and wife Mary are parents to three young children. Their two boys are on the autism spectrum, and daughter Madeline, who is less than a year old, has cystic fibrosis.

At the time of writing, a GoFundMe page set up by Survivor fan Dave Skow has raised over $150,000. Skow has confirmed the money raised is going directly to the Toki family.

“Let’s rally behind this Aussie legend and change this awesome young family’s life,” Skow writes.

The finale of Australian Survivor will air on Network Ten at 7:30pm tonight.
