While the cost of living continues to rise, and eating out is becoming more and more of a ‘special occasion,’ it’s always fantastic when we can spot a great deal, which also happens to be at a fantastic, well-respected restaurant.
Fino Vino on Flinders Street, has launched an incredible lunch special, which has us now planning a team building lunch, just because.
Fino Vino is a sophisticated yet approachable restaurant in the CBD, which is now offering diners their “Express Menu”, a mouth-watering deal of three courses with a glass of wine for $55. If you were to order a-la-carte, it’s worth around $80 – so you can see why we’re getting excited.
With a strong reputation for simple, thoughtful, seasonal and locally sourced dishes, Fino Vino’s 70-seat restaurant and bar is distinguished by its produce-driven ideology.
The restaurant was opened in 2019 by Sharon Romeo and co-owner and executive chef David Swain, who wished to create a city-based outpost for their sister restaurants Fino at Seppeltsfield, an icon of the Barossa Valley’s eclectic mix of eateries, and Fino Willunga, a staple of the McLaren Vale since 2006. These venues have built a reputation for showcasing the best of South Australia’s culinary heritage, with a focus on seasonal, local ingredients and innovative yet accessible dishes. Fino Vino brings this philosophy into the heart of Adelaide, where it blends the rich, regional traditions with the vibrant energy of the city.
Just this month, Fino Vino was also awarded the accolade of being named in South Australia’s top 3 best restaurants, by Gourmet Traveller.
Introduced earlier in August, this new Express option offers slight alterations to the menu each week. Last week’s offerings included a selection of dishes like Rocco’s giardiniera paired with buffalo curd, pickled green tomatoes, and rye bread, followed by a duck pithivier served with parsnip puree. Each dish highlighted the natural flavours of the ingredients, with careful attention to balance and presentation.
Another week, the menu has evolved, introducing new highlights such as charred quail with chickpeas and Moroccan spices and salted Mulloway with leek pasty, demonstrating the kitchen’s dedication to creativity and seasonal variety.
For those looking to enjoy a refined dining experience without straining their budget, Fino Vino’s Express Menu is an offer that’s hard to pass up. It provides a rare opportunity to savour high-quality, thoughtfully prepared dishes in a stylish setting, all while keeping costs reasonable.
