Sweden Is Coming To Glenelg In The Form Of Nordic Treats

Swedish Tart is set to open its fifth outing with a cafe that’s coming to Glenelg Beach.

Swedish food has long been associated with IKEA but we’ve got information about a rapidly growing Swedish cafe expansion that just keeps on treating us Adelaidians. Swedish Tart is set to open its fifth outing with a cafe that’s coming to Glenelg Beach.

The all day breakfast, crumpets, crepes and a host of other authentic Swedish treats that come from the minds of this family owned business have been a massive hit since their first opening in 2010. Eight years later and Glenelg will be the next stop for your pastry fix.

The all day breakfast will likely feature winners from their other menus such as the Homemade Crumpets and the Crispy Halloumi Salad. What we’re looking forward to is more of the Swedish dishes that are bound to be on offer. The Skagen (smoked salmon, prawn and poached egg), Pyttipanna (think vienna bacon, spinach and more) or the Kaviar Macka which contains poached eggs and smoked cod roe paste on sourdough rye. This is lunch fare that’ll suit anyone.

We definitely mean that, Swedish Tarts has extensive options/alternatives for gluten free visitors, vegans and vegetarians, gone are the days of having just the one option on a menu, almost every dish can be substituted for dietary requirements.

We don’t have a date on the opening but keep and eye out on their Instagram and Facebook so you don’t miss out on this outing.

Swedish Tarts’ newest cafe will be found in this address:
11 Nile street, Glenelg, SA, 5045.
