Breathing new life into Sydney’s progressive dining scene, nel. Restaurant is pioneering a global-infused, culinary experience that is setting Sydneysiders’ tastebuds alight.
With his own growing reputation at Maxwell Restaurant, Chef Fabian Lehmann welcomes Chef Nelly Robinson, accompanied by one of Sydney’s most creative pastry chefs, Jason Brown into his kitchen at McLaren Vale’s Maxwell Wines.
Nelly Robinson says “‘I’m looking forward to heading to McLaren Vale for the first time. To work with one of the best wineries in Australia is a great privilege, and we’re excited to showcase what we do at nel. to a new audience’”
With all three Chefs new to our shores, they draw on past experience within Michelin-starred venues in the UK, Norway, Germany and more local icons such as Quay, qualia and Roxy (NZ).
Guests can expect innovative dishes from Nelly such as tandoori marinated kingfish with smoked yoghurt, cucumber raita and lobster soil and his now famous ‘Truffle Hunt’.
Fabian Lehmann shared “I have worked with Jason before so I follow nel. Restaurant closely and it’s great to be collaborating with two fantastic chefs. Guests can expect a pretty exciting menu”.
This event allows guests the opportunity to meet the chefs and hear the inspiration for their dishes.
Wine honours for the evening go to winemaker and owner of Maxwell Winery Mark Maxwell.
