The Australian Chamber Orchestra has released its 2016 season schedule, and with it comes the love of Beethoven, and an fantastic line-up of international guests.
This is the seventh tour of Australia by the highly respected Borodin Quartet. Founded in 1945, the quartet has specialised in the music of Russian composers, but also played a wide variety of works, and collaborated with other artists.
David Helfgott, one of Australia’s most treasured musicians and the pianist who was the inspiration for the Oscar-winning film 'Shine', will return to Festival Theatre stage on 24 October.
The Adelaide Festival Centre together with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra will present a special anniversary concert – Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony – as part of the Adelaide Festival Centre’s 40th Anniversary Events on Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June, 8pm.
