Tight, tough, and darkly funny
David Mamet’s famous comedy promises lust, lies and love and this compelling production totally delivers.
This is a very funny production, filled with adult humour, quirky characters and slickly presented, a good effort from everybody. Thirty five years old, it is does not have the shock value that it might have once had, but it still had the audience laughing throughout.
The merit of this predictable play is in the acting. Guy Masterson and Joanne Hartstone give powerful performances as unlikeable university professor John and his irritating pupil Carol.
