Despite the Saturday night crowd being a bit disengaged, Elizabeth Rose is a strong character and put on a quality show at Fat Controller over the weekend.
Looking for a musical highlight this weekend? Look no further than Elizabeth Rose at Fat Controller this Saturday.
Descending from the cafe and beach volleyball area of Pirie Street, we arrived at Pirie and Co. Social Club which can be best summed up as a secret venue completely full of charm. Along the lines of a New York Dungeon Club with a classic romantic feel of a five-star hotel bar from the early twentieth-century, accentuated beautifully by candle light and museum worthy artwork, it sincerely felt like another world.
On her way to perform at her Canberra show, Elizabeth Rose took some time to talk with Music Editor Darren Hassan about her new self titled EP and current tour, which includes the opening night of Pirie and Co, Adelaide’s newest live music venue.
The new Pirie Street venue is set to be a cool speakeasy style bar during the afternoon offering delicious tapas and drinks, before turning into a high quality live music venue at night.
