Adelaide ex-pat and 'genre agnostic' DJ and all-round music maker Owen Howells has previewed a new track titled 'Common People' through BeatPort, off his latest EP The Seen, released last week.
When I Googled Owen Howells many months ago, the first thing I found was the phrase ‘genre agnostic and forward thinking’. Not a bad description for the Adelaide expat who now calls London home.
In the past year, former Adelaide resident Owen Howells has played alongside such illustrious electronic and IDM acts as Groove Armada, Raymundo Rodriguez, Mauro Picotto, Rob Mello, Antonio De Angelis, Robert James and Pariah to name but a few. With plans to expand across a multitude of venues across the city, Howell's Flux Party hopes to bring the sound of London and Berlin to Adelaide. And having played at such iconic hotspots as the Ministry of Sound, Pacha and even running a successful basement residency in Brixton, he seems like the right man for the job.
