I know it’s been a successful Parklife when I can 1) Name a new artist I’ve never seen before and now love. 2) See an act I formerly liked and now don’t care for. 3) Check a favourite off my must-see list, and 4) Walk past far too many people on my way to the Botanic Gardens who didn’t quite make it past their pre-drinks. I guess that makes 2012 a winner. And while I hope the dubstep isn’t here to stay, I’ll get used to it if I have to. 5 Parklife Festivals later and I’m in no rush to miss out in 2013.

Ever the loud, complicated, hipster sibling to the dancier Future Music and Stereosonic and rockier Big Day Out, Parklife boasted an impressive (albeit peculiar) line-up comprising of some of the best up and coming international and local pop, indie, electronic and dance acts, alongside a slew of established veterans.
The line up for Parklife has been announced and Facebook, Twitter, Forums & pretty much everywhere else online is a buzz. Some are saying this is the best line up yet. What do you think?

Parklife. It’s the festival that marks the start of the summer party season in Australia. It is Australia’s biggest festival apart from Big Day Out, making Parklife the most significant dance, dance-rock and electronic event in the region and the biggest adult (over 18) festival.
