There are 6,000 people experiencing homelessness in South Australia alone. That's 6,000 too many. Join The Hutt Street Centre on Friday 10th August for their annual Walk A Mile In My Boots charity event.
With an increasing demand for its service, Hutt St Centre is again calling for people to walk a mile in the boots of a person who is homeless on Friday 7 August and experience for just one hour what it’s like for Adelaide’s homeless.
If you’ve ever spilt coffee on your clothes and said “worse day ever” or talked to your friends about how busy you are and all you want “is a night in on the couch”, it’s probably time you took a break from those first world problems and walked a mile in someone else’s boots.
In support of Homelessness Australia’s National Homeless Persons' Week, the Hutt Street Centre in Adelaide will hold its annual fundraiser “walk a mile in my boots” on 5 August 2011 to help create a better understanding of the realities and challenges of homelessness.
Put yourself in the boots of Adelaide's homeless by doing the "Walk A Mile In My Boots" and support the Hutt Street Centre, from North Terrace to South Terrace this Friday 6 August from 7.30am to coincide with National Homeless Week.
