2017 headline act announced with Wes Carr leading a jam-packed night of entertainment.
That’s right folks, Adelaide’s favourite son and all round nice guy Wes Carr is headed back home this weekend to perform his interpretation of George Harrison songs in ‘Here Comes The Sun’. Carr, who shot to the public eye on Australian Idol in 2008, has recently toured with ‘Rolling Thunder Vietnam’, showing off his acting skills along with his fine voice.
War is not a particularly easy subject to tackle in the sphere of dramatic performance, as it is easy to trivialize the realities of battle into ‘feel good’ generalisations rather than to confront the horrors and impact that it has on humans. Fortunately, Blake Entertainment’s ‘Rolling Thunder Vietnam- Songs That Defined A Generation’ has the formula worked out to military precision and absolutely ‘gets it’ in this outstanding tribute to the heroes of a controversial war that polarized the nation during the sixties
Giving up some of his spare time in between performances, former Gawler lad turned singing sensation Wes Carr is thrilled to be performing with Pete Evans’ ‘The Paleo way’ Tour and will star in ‘Rolling Thunder Vietnam’ in August and September.
Aussie dance music sensation the Potbelleez and home grown talent Wes Carr will headline the FREE Australia Day in the City Concert in Elder Park on Saturday 26th January.
