Take a free ride this weekend and soak up Vino & Vibes in the city’s South Precinct

Adeladie’s City South Precinct presents Vino & Vibes, showcasing South Australian food, wine and the south-sides village atmosphere.

Head on down to the south-side this weekend and grab yourself a taste of some SA quality Vino paired with all the happening Vibes of Adelaide’s City South.

Vino and Vibes kicks of Saturday May 20, for a weekend showcasing venues across the City South Precinct with a unique cellar door style experience.

Jump onboard a free Eco Caddy and check out what City South has to offer, with live music and entertainment across both Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Event organiser and City South Association Coordinator, Andrew Peters, said the new concept was a great way to show off City South’s identity and unique village atmosphere.

“It’s not the East-end or the West-End, but City South has some unique little venues with a mix of classic pubs and funky vibes.”

He said teaming up with South Aussie wineries for Vino and Vibes was a concept that added something a little bit more and was a way of giving both venues publicity and an immediate sale opportunity.

And with venues like Cafe Troppo offering live music and free tastings from Adelaide Hills wineries, Gentle Folk and BK Wines, it’s a win-win for everyone, and you don’t even need a designated driver!

Local tour operator, Eco Caddy will offer free rides between venues, so you can hop on and hop off as wine, dine and dance your way through City South.

Amongst the line-up of venues, Bar Riot on Gilbert Street will be pumping out tunes from The Brazil Nuts Orchestra from 12pm-3pm on Saturday, offering $10 tasting flights from their very own Riot Wine Co Wines.

Gilbert Street Hotel will showcase Babo Wines both days from 12pm – 5pm, with entertainment by Cal Williams Jr.

McLaren Vale’s Alpha Box & Dice Wines will be offering $10 tasting flights teamed with eclectic vibes at Wright Street’s Hard Days Night.

Live acoustic music, wine flights and snack’s for the foodie’s at heart, including butter poached Spencer Gulf prawn rolls, warm Adelaide Hills marinated olives and chargrilled octopus skewers will be worth hailing a free Eco Caddy to Hurtle Street’s A Prayer For the Wild At Heart.

Something for the beer connoisseur’s, 55ML Bar will host live jazz and acoustic music, while offering $10 beer flights, and the Crown and Screptre Hotel will showcase beers from Walkerville Brewing Beers, with a side beats by DJ Tr!p.
