Walking enthusiasts with an interest in learning more about the historic town of Hahndorf are encouraged to come along and join the daily Hahndorf After Dark Walking Tours.
Set your taste buds alight with a special tour menu at The Haus Restaurant, before walking in the steps of the Prussian immigrants who established the stunning village in 1839.
The 90-minute tour is organised by the Hahndorf Walking Tours which has been running for 11 years. Owner and Operator of the group, Sharon Pippos, started running the Hahndorf After Dark Walking Tours four years ago.
This will be like nothing you have experienced before, as guests will get a beautiful and historic peek into Hahndorf history all under starlight.
Wear your stretchy pants and your walking boots for this dining experience, as guests can expect to be greeted with an incredible of German-inspired meals such as duo of Wursts, fresh-caught Coorong Mullet, chicken schnitzel with chips, supreme pizza or herbivore pizza.
During the tour you will get the opportunity to learn more about the history of the town including the immigrants that fled from Prussia in 1838, you will also hear stories about these settlers and the Pioneer Women’s Walking Trail.
There will also be the chance to visit the old mortuary, stone masons, St Paul’s Lutheran Church and other points of interest and intrigue. You will also be visited by several heroes of the village, using modern-day technology.
WHERE: Meet at 6 pm at The Haus Restaurant, 38 Main Street, Hahndorf, the tour starts at 7:30 pm.
