Take On Adelaide City After Dark With The Adelaide Oval Roof Climb

RoofClimb Night has officially launched at Adelaide Oval, and Glam Adelaide was lucky enough to be invited to the launch night. Let us tell you, while experiences like this are hard to come by, this one seriously delivers.

Sure, you could wander the city streets on Friday evening, looking at everything from “regular” heights (or uncomfortable heights, if you’re trying to break-in your new high heels). But what about experiencing Adelaide from some seriously enviably heights? We’re talking sky-scraping, show-stopping heights.

Well, now you well-and-truly can, as RoofClimb Night has officially launched. Glam Adelaide was lucky enough to be invited to the launch night, and let us tell you, Adelaide really puts on a show. Nothing compares to the beautiful sights you will see as you make your way across Adelaide Oval’s iconic roofline after dark, trust us.

The experience was exhilarating and breathtaking all at once. Complete with a 90 minute climb experience, post-climb beverage (hello, Espresso Martini), a souvenir RoofClimb hat, achievement certificate, digital photo pack, and a seriously great mix of party tunes, there is no denying that this is an experience like no other.

Shaky knees and faint breathing may prevail initially, but work your way past it, because these views are seriously ace (and photos just don’t quite do it justice). The new RAH Building and Convention Centre have never lit up the sky like they do from the top of the Adelaide Oval. And the River Torrens has never looked more like a postcard.

With many photo ops along the way, you will be able to have all the proof you need to show your friends that you definitely are a serious dare-devil. The chance to lean back with your harness and take a photo (as if you’re falling) is on offer if you so desire. We did! And let us say, it was incredible.

It really is the look-out spot like no other. So now, even your dates can become a whole lot more spectacular. Scott, our super lovely instructor, informed us that there have been 30 (successful) proposals that have occurred so far up on the top of the bridge. We can only imagine that this night time atmosphere is only going to double the romantic vibes.

We had a wonderful time and highly recommend it for anyone looking to step out of their comfort zone and try something new and thrilling. Tickets to RoofClimb Night would work perfectly as a gift for any special occasion, or even as the perfect way to kick off your celebrations. Experiences like this are hard to come by, and this one seriously delivers.

Miley Cyrus’ ‘The Climb’ was the song played upon our descension back to ground. And it was oh so fitting. Although, it must be said, perhaps Cyrus left something out in her lyrical masterpiece. Because while it’s not always about how fast you get there, or what’s waiting on the other side, it’s definitely all about “The (Night Roof)Climb.”

RoofClimb Night will operate on Friday and Saturday nights (outside of Game Day and certain major events at Adelaide Oval) starting from Friday, 27 April.
