Tassie border set to re-open to SA sparking $69 flight sale!

South Australians have one more travel destination we can now add to the list – Tasmania!

As Australian state borders continue to open, as Covid-19 cases around the country ease, South Australians have one more travel destination we can now add to the list – Tasmania!

The Tasmanian Government has announced that it will look to easing border restrictions with low risk Australian jurisdictions like SA from October 26.

Low risk jurisdictions are determined by Public Health based on a number of factors which include the period of time they have gone with low or no numbers of cases and the lack of community transmission occurring in those jurisdictions.

At this stage, low risk states include South Australia, Western Australia, the Northern Territory, Queensland, the ACT and possibly NSW.

The COVID-19 risk in all States and Territories continues to be monitored and the easing of restrictions is dependent on the situation in those jurisdictions.

Current restrictions and requirements remain in place until that time.

If South Australia’s fantastic record continues (keep up the good work team!), it means from October 26th, we’ll be able to jump on a flight to visit one of the country’s most beautiful destinations.

To celebrate, Jetstar have launched a sale with ridiculously low fares to Tasmania, starting from $75 one way, or only $69 for Club Jetstar members.

Travel dates are from 26 Oct 2020 – 15 Dec 2020, and 12 Jan 2021 – 02 Feb 2021.
