Moroccan cuisine is unfortunately not that common in Adelaide, so when we heard news about a pop-up Moroccan vendor coming to the Adelaide Central Market, we just had to let everyone know about it.
Moorish Bites is a mobile catering service, notably remembered for its eye catching truck which displays the gorgeous patterns that you’d associate with Moorish architecture. With Mohamed, a Moroccan born and trained chef, at the helm.
He and Moorish Bites will be staking a pop-up at the Producers in Residence stall as of TODAY and staying there till November 17th.
The cuisine is best known for aromatic spices and herbs (tear inducing at times) alongside fresh produce. You can opt for slow cooked lamb, served with fluffy cous cous or hand rolled Moroccan pastry with spinach and your choice of meat.
With respect to the Moors, the food is entirely halal and vegetarian/gluten free friendly.
