The Arkaba’s 16th Annual Beer and Cider Fest is back for 2022 and we couldn’t be more excited!
Celebrating all things brewed, the Annual Beer and Cider Fest is an afternoon of drinking, eating and being merry all within the state-of-the-art facilities of the Arkaba.
This year’s event is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet with over 160 varieties of beer and cider on show for you to sample. Upon entry, you’ll collect your stein (which yes, you get to keep) before wandering through and tasting any and all of the beverages on offer.
While we can’t list the entire line-up of brewers, we can tell you there’ll be some big names there like Coopers, Mismatch and Pikes Brewing but also some of the smaller guys so you can expand your beer palate and get to know some up and coming brewers on the scene. Keep an eye out for Temple Brewing Co, Shapeshifter and Bowden Brewing.
Arkaba Hotel Manager, Jordarn Karpowicz, said this is a great event for anyone who enjoys a cold brew.
“We’ve got something for everyone at this event, whether you want to come down for a tasting with a friend or stop by for lunch. The masterclasses have been a hit in previous years, and a really unique experience” he said.
“Beer and Cider Fest promises a chilled and relaxing afternoon for your Sunday sesh.”
While sampling the best beers in the biz is the main aim of the day, there will be plenty of other offerings to keep you entertained. Live music by DJ Ryley will soundtrack your afternoon and a variety of tasty street food will be available to help fill the belly. Treat yourself to things like loaded waffle fries, fried chicken wings, chilli and lime squid, pulled pork quesadilla, vegan chicken burger and buttermilk fried chicken burger (drool!)
You’ll also be able to learn a thing or two by taking part in one of the crafty masterclasses. Ran by Pirate Life and SixTwelve Brewing, these masterclasses are sure to not only educate but also entertain!
If all of this wasn’t enough to lure you in, every attendee also goes in with the chance to win one of every product that’s available on the day! There’s a reason this event has been running for 16 long years so if you haven’t been, you’d be silly not to check it out and see what all the fuss is about.
