In 2025, Tasting Australia is set to offer an even richer array of culinary delights, with a fresh list of experiences joining an already-packed lineup. The program sees additions including a a table styling masterclass hosted by In the Roundhouse, a Sunday Supper Club, and a relaxed afternoon of Lawn Bowls featuring local celebrities including Justin James at the Sturt Bowling Club.
Chef Justin James will be hosting an exclusive dinner party in a secret location, where sixteen guests will join him for an intimate dining experience. Here, guests can catch a personal glimpse into James’ life and learn about his seasonal culinary offerings.
Aperitivo Hour is another new addition that introduces a collaboration between iconic bars and chefs, who will prepare unique snacks and drinks priced at $50. This event will be hosted in the renovated Drinks Academy at Town Square, Victoria Square/Tarntanyangga, highlighting renowned bars Embla, Bar Heather, Thelma and Omotenashi Hobart.

The festival’s hub at Town Square will also feature the new Matchmaker Series—a creative spin on connecting wine lovers—and Top 3, where former football captain Tom Jonas shares his top wine picks.
The Sunday Supper Club transforms a Sunday evening meal into an elevated dining experience with dishes crafted by world class chefs including Mug Chen, Chia Wu, and Calum Horn. Priced at $79, the menu includes a variety of hearty and memorable Italian-inspired dishes.
Hands-on activities are also on the table this year, with the MAKE series sharing insights on table styling from In The Roundhouse paired with a pasta cooking class from Casa Carboni. Another casual event, Lawn Bowls, sets the scene for a laid-back Sunday with snacks and wine tastings complemented by lawn games, making it a perfect family outing.
Festivalgoers can also look forward to a ramped-up food scene in Town Square where fifteen vendors will showcase their specialties, including eight new eateries such as Athena Greek Eats and Francesca’s Pizza and Sandos.
One of the must-do activities is The Ghan Experience, an immersive activation that simulates the journey aboard the iconic train, giving attendees a nuanced look at the Outback adventures The Ghan offers, from sunrise in Marla to exploring the opal mining town of Cooper Pedy.

Tasting Australia is scheduled from May 2nd to 11th, across Adelaide and regional South Australia.
