The 18th edition of Tasting Australia, SA’s premier food and beverage festival, is set to return in 2025 from May 2nd to the 11th, with more than 150 events planned across the state.

The festival will showcase some of the best food and beverage talent from around Australia and the world, including renowned chefs like Chiara Pavan (Italy), Monica Berg (UK), Andy Allen (NSW), Lachlan Cowill (TAS), Danielle Alvarez (NSW), and Lennox Hastie (NSW).

Local South Australian stars, such as Justin James, Jake Kellie, Sharon Romeo, and Duncan Welgemoed, will also take part, bringing their unique flavours to the festival.

One of the highlights of the 2025 program is the return of the Tasting Australia Airlines, which will offer two incredible trips. One will take guests on an overnight adventure to the Northern Flinders Ranges, while the other will offer a daytrip aboard a houseboat on the Murray River.

The festival’s Town Square hub in Adelaide’s CBD will once again be the focal point, offering a fantastic space for eating, drinking, and connection. The Dining Galleries will feature work by South Australian artists and host a series of curated lunches and dinners, including A Lunch for All Seasons, a menu that has been a year in the making. There will also be collaborations like Ester X Lankan Filling Station, bringing together two of Sydney’s most beloved restaurants.

The popular Canteen mid-week lunch series is back, featuring a new line-up of regional restaurants, including Kuti Shack (Fleurieu Peninsula), Elementary by Soul Co (Limestone Coast), and Fino Seppeltsfield (Barossa), all offering unique regional dishes.

“The 2025 program is all about connection – it is a celebration of the connections that bring us together – between family, friends, food, drink and the land we call home,” Festival Director Karena Armstrong said.

“There is more connection between food and drink than ever before this year, particularly at events like the Opening Night Party in Town Square.”

The drinks program for 2025 also brings exciting new additions, including Learn sessions, where guests can learn valuable beverage skills, and a variety of parties in Town Square, such as the Opening Party, Cocktail Party, and Beer Hall. Returning favourites include Tasting Tables, Masterclasses, and the new Drinks Academy, presented by Adelaide University, offering a deeper dive into the world of beverages.

For those seeking immersive experiences, there will be events like Food, Glass, Wood, a collaboration between the Fleming brothers – Shannon with food, Mike with wood, and Liam with glass – and a special lunch at Kay Brothers Winery in McLaren Vale, featuring Argentinean chef Martin Moltini and Stephane Brizard from Wild at Heart. A highlight of the program will also be a special Around the World with Penfolds, culminating in a party at their iconic Magill Estate tunnels.

The first release of the 2025 program is now available for purchase on the Tasting Australia website.
