Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel is officially back in 2022!

The country’s favourite celebration of eating and drinking returns in 2022 from 29 April – 8 May and is taking to the skies once again with Tasting Australia Airlines. 

For those desperately seeking a getaway, Tasting Australia Airlines feeds our cravings to take to the skies and embrace the ultimate foodie escape. 

Flying to Coffin Bay as well as two new regions: Flinders Ranges and Coober Pedy, this experience is not one to miss. 

Following its record season last year, the two additional Tasting Australia Airline destinations were added to provide culinary diversity. 

The day trip to Coffin Bay will depart Adelaide Airport at 7:30 am on April 30th and offer guests a tasting of pristine South Australian seafood, whilst embarking on a full-day adventure taking you straight to its source. Four leading chefs with a passion for fresh ocean fare will lead the rugged Eyre Peninsula day trip whilst guests enjoy the wild beauty and remarkable produce, before returning home at 6 pm. 

The exclusive 16-person overnight charter to the Flinders Ranger will have a culinary focus on locally sourced meats. Tasting Australia patron Simon Bryan will be the featured chef in this new outback odyssey. Guests will reside in accommodation at Rawnsley Park’s luxury eco villas, after a scenic flight over Wilpena Pound.

Dreaming of a desert escape? For those looking to head outback, the Coober Pedy experience is an overnight bucket list travel experience hosted by Ben Shewry, Duncan Welgemoed, Daniel Motlop and John Carty. The foodie experience will feature indigenous food tastings, above or below ground accommodation for the ultimate Coober Pedy experience as well as inflight bubbles. 

Each menu utilises regional produce at the height of its season and takes months of careful planning. This event can cater to vegetarian and coeliac dietary requirements, although the menu may not be designed or executed by the visiting chefs. Guests are asked to note that proof of full COVID-19 vaccination is required to attend these events.

Tasting Australia Airlines starts at $850 inclusive (where applicable) of all flights, ground and boat transportation, accommodation, excursions, food and beverages matched to each course.

Tasting Australia presented by RAA Travel runs from Friday 29 April until Sunday 8 May 2022, across Adelaide and regional South Australia.
