After a six-year rally cry from fans, Tasty Toobs returned to shelves earlier this year.
Since, the popular snack has been selling out across the country, with shelves clearing and the public demanding more.
To keep up with popular demand and ensure that passionate fans can get their hands on the product, Tasty Toobs has started producing the snack on home soil with the first Australian packets hitting shelves from Monday 20 December 2021.
When launched mid this year Tasty Toobs were solely manufactured overseas in an effort to return the product back to shelves as soon as possible for adoring fans. Now, the product will be made between Australia and overseas, in order to keep up with demand.
Vandita Pandey, CMO PepsiCo ANZ said, “We have worked hard to bring back Tasty Toobs and we don’t want our loyal fans going without – splitting production between two locations will help ensure supermarket shelves are fully stocked.”
Following the announcement that the product will be made across two sites, Tasty Toobs has announced fans of the snack may notice a slight variation between the current product (made overseas) and the new product (made in Australia) – the Australian-made product has a firmer bite but still has the same flavour.
Pandey continued, “Bringing Tasty Toobs home means we have had to adapt the product slightly in order to produce it locally.
“We appreciate that there will be a small difference in the product, however, this move is to support locally made products, local employment and to keep up with public demand – which couldn’t be more fitting for a nostalgic Australian snack.”
Tasty Toobs are now back on shelves and available in supermarkets across the country.
Tasty Toobs are available in supermarkets, independent retailers and petrol and convenience stores nationally.
Tasty Toobs are no longer here for a ‘limited time only’ but here to stay for 2022 Tasty Toobs is available in 35g and 150g size packs.
