There’s nothing like a bit of healthy competition, especially when it involves food. That’s why the brekky team at Mix102.3 thought they would have themselves a little battle to see who could come up with the best dish.
Ali Clarke, Erin Phillips and Eddie Bannon are all about their family. Family outings, events, funny stories and favourite foods and so they partnered with Adelaide favourite Fasta Pasta to find ‘Adelaide’s Family Favourite’ meal based on their favourite family foods.
Each member of the breakfast team batted up a delicious dish with the opportunity to feature on the Special’s Board at ALL Fasta Pasta restaurants across Adelaide.
The contenders:
Ali’s Fettuccine: Braised chicken with onion, bacon, semi-dried tomatoes, baby spinach, cream & a dash of Napoli
Erin’s Spirali: Spirali tossed with olives, semi dried tomatoes, broccoli, garlic, olive oil, basil, oregano, Napoli & chilli
Eddie’s Pizza: Tomato base, bacon, pineapple, red onion, mozzarella with a tomato sauce
But there could only be one winner… and they put it to you, the people of Adelaide.
To settle the debate, Adelaideians voted online over the course of a week and 20 lucky listeners won the chance to go along to an exclusive taste test at Fasta Pasta Mile End.
After much deliberation, the winner (drum roll please…) was Ali’s Fettuccine!
Crowned Adelaide’s Family Favourite, Ali’s dish will feature on the Specials Board at all 16 Fasta Pasta locations across South Australia over the Easter period April 4 – 18.
