Dandelion Vineyards – McLaren Vale

Dandelion Vineyards, located atop the ancient ridge of Firehawk Farm, just opened its “Wonder Room” in May offering visitors panoramic views of the surrounding landscape through the building’s extensive feature windows. The 180-degree views encompass Firehawk Farm’s vineyard, the rolling slopes of McLaren Vale, the Gulf St Vincent, and the Willunga Escarpment.
With its extensive glass window façade and grand white amphitheatre-style sitting steps, the Wonder Room takes full advantage of the stunning natural landscape surrounding the vineyard.
The Wonder Room’s top-tier tastings offer visitors the opportunity to explore premium wines and rare museum releases from Dandelion Vineyards. Visitors will amuse their senses with the carefully curated premium food offering skilfully prepared dishes by the chef.

Shaw + Smith – Balhannah

Renowned Adelaide Hills winery, Shaw + Smith recently extended and fully renovated the Tasting Room at their Balhannah winery. It’s very much an extension of the old, utilising the same steep-pitched roof design, modern flat-roofed Tasting Room and recycled timber flooring throughout. It now has a seated capacity of 60 indoors, 40 outdoor on the terrace, and a new private tasting area for up to 12 people.
The best part? the Tasting Room will also have a food offering. Visitors can purchase various wine flights with or without up to eight cold larder dishes that can be ordered individually or paired with wines. Those who are not up to the formality of a wine flight can order wines by the glass or bottle and enjoy the 180-degree views over the vineyard and dam.

Yangarra Estate Vineyard – McLaren Vale

Acclaimed South Australian winery Yangarra Estate Vineyard have just opened a luxurious state-of the-art cellar door, bolstering its position as a premium wine destination in the Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale region.
Featuring floor to ceiling windows overlooking sweeping views of the estates vineyards, unique to the cellar door is its dedicated viewing platform overlooking Yangarra’s extensive collection of ceramic amphorae fermentation vessels as well as a connecting overpass that allows visitors to walk across to the working winery.
One unique space within the new Yangarra cellar door is the private tasting room dedicated to the wines of Hickinbotham Clarendon Vineyards; produced by Peter Fraser and Napa Valley winemaker, Chris Carpenter.
There’s a series of exclusive and immersive wine experiences on offer that are sure to excite wine enthusiasts who visit.

Main and Cherry – Chandlers Hill

Main and Cherry opened their cellar door to the public just before Christmas last year, and since then it’s been a major hit. Three years in the making the new cellar door Is immaculate, serene and sublime; dripping with sophisticated sunset ambience and built to accomodate the perfect date.
The cellar door offers wine flights, in case you’re curious about the origins, notes and history which Main and Cherry infuse into each bottle and let flow with each pour.
With a tantalising palate tickling troupe of Mr Sexton’s wine, guests can also expect light food to accompany their time at the cellar door and locally brewed beer.

Bird in Hand winery’s Woodside estate reopened a fully renovated hospitality offering & cellar door with a new private tasting room, terraced gardens, and art inclusions. Nepenthe – Balhannah

Popular Adelaide Hills vineyard Nepenthe has unveiled its completely redeveloped Balhannah-based cellar door. It’s a state-of-the-art building that makes the most of the iconic Adelaide Hills location with its floor to ceiling windows, an expansive deck, and a Barrel Room that opens up directly to the lawn to ensure you have a view wherever you’re seated.
At Nepenthe you can do guided wine tastings or for bigger groups wine flights, alternatively you can try a local charcuterie and cheese board which can be enjoyed on the new deck or on the lawns while admiring the breathtaking view.
