The bp Adelaide Grand Final is gearing up to take the Repco Supercars Championship to thrilling new heights as it announces a revamped format, new branding, and a significant title sponsorship from global fuel provider bp.
Previously known as the Adelaide 500, the event is set to become the defining final battle in the Supercars calendar starting this year.
Scheduled to take place on the Adelaide Street Circuit, the bp Adelaide Grand Final will introduce a new Finals Series format that narrows the field from ten to four across the preceding rounds, culminating in a final championship showdown.
In an unprecedented move for the event, an additional 100km race will be added on the Friday, making it the most expansive offering of Supercars racing ever seen at this venue.
The driver who scores the most points during this event will emerge as the 2025 Repco Supercars Champion. While the ultimate prize is at stake for the four finalists, the rest of the competitors will still compete fiercely for pole positions and race victories, including those in the Top 10 Shootouts.
Mark Warren, CEO of the South Australian Motor Sport Board, commented on the new partnership with bp, “We’re delighted to embark on a distinctly new and successful era with bp for the bp Adelaide Grand Final.
The event has consistently set the benchmark for motorsport events across the last 25 years, and in collaboration with bp, we are certain it will elevate to new heights again, with fans in South Australia and interstate set to be the beneficiaries.”

bp, a longstanding operator in Australia with over a century of history, has expanded its commitment to South Australian motorsports through this sponsorship.
“We’re waving the green flag in the Festival State this year,” said Paul Augé, Senior Vice President, bp Australia and New Zealand.
“In the 5 years we’ve partnered with Supercars, we’ve achieved a lot on and off the track. Now, we’re entering a new era with the bp Adelaide Grand Final.”
Premier Peter Malinauskas also praised the elevated status of the revamped event.
“The Adelaide 500 has always had pride of place on the national motorsport calendar, but the advent of the bp Adelaide Grand Final will take that to the next level,” he stated.
BP Rewards members are being offered an exclusive pre-sale for a limited number of four-day grandstand tickets through the BPme app. These tickets will also come with a complimentary four-day Paddock Pass, providing unparalleled access to the behind-the-scenes action.
This year’s event, marking the 40th anniversary of the Adelaide Street Circuit, promises to be a spectacular affair, celebrating not only the circuit’s storied history but also introducing a pioneering format aiming to captivate motorsport fans nationwide.
The bp Adelaide Grand Final is scheduled to run from November 27 to November 30, with more details on public ticket sales to be released soon.
