It’s time to roll out the red carpet and make your submissions. The Adelaide Film Festival is back and kicking off on the 19th of October.

We see the best of Australia’s contemporary feature films, documentaries, short films, and virtual reality productions take the stage every two years.

The ‘friendly festival’ is by no means exclusive. Instead, it is known for welcoming filmmaker guests and patrons from around Australia and the globe.

With the opened borders and eased travel restrictions, Adelaide can get prepped and primed to welcome guests travelling from all over to attend the Festival and be immersed in the centre of filmmaking and cultural greatness.

The Adelaide Film Festival Director and CEO, Mat Kestling is thrilled to be bringing the Festival back and giving people the chance to celebrate the positive achievements of others, especially “after the turbulence and disruptions of the past year and a half”.

“The Adelaide Film Festival board and staff are delighted to be working towards presenting an incredible program… where once again lovers of film and screen arts more broadly and filmmakers themselves will be able to come together in Adelaide to enjoy the inimitable shared experience that cinema brings,” Mat Kestling said.

Get your submission in by 4 May for a discounted price, or ensure you make your submissions before June. Otherwise, you will find you have missed out on the opportunity to share your talents and the chance to win a fantastic price.

In submitting your film, you are entered into the cash prize pool, which is in excess of $35,000. Polish off your edits and take a leap of faith.

For lovers of film, but not makers of film, your role is just as important. It’s your job to champion your favourite submissions and vote for them.

Check out the Adelaide Film Festival and take part in the celebration of filmmakers’ success in creating captivating stories.
